Andy is a professional, creative and french-toast loving 38 year old living in Cambridge, Ontario with his wife, two children and two cats (plus fish). He has fifteen years as a designer in the marketing industry, with ten years in Senior and Art Director roles.
Graduating from York University’s Dean’s Honour List in 2001, Andy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Honours Major in Visual Art. With is in-depth experience in visual art, graphic design, publishing, producing and directing, Andy would make a great asset to any company whether the position calls for leading a team/department, working within a group dynamic, or sole responsibility for individual projects.

SLJ Best Book of 2015 Award, Best Graphic Novel
The critically acclaimed 176 page graphic novel MOONSHOT: The Indigenous Comics Collection was awarded “The Best Book of 2015” by the School Library Journal – the largest book reviewer in the world. MOONSHOT also won the Bronze Medal Award for “Best Graphic Novel” at the 20th Annual Independent Publisher’s Awards. Andy was the Producer, Art Director, Layout Artist and Cover Designer for this publication, overseeing 30 writers and artists.
INSPIRE Association of Arts & Social Change Canadian Publishing Award Nominee
Andy wrote and illustrated the psychological thriller Hobson’s Gate: Trauma, which was nominated for an Association of Arts & Social Change Canadian Publishing Award. This graphic novel also earned Andy an AASC People’s Choice Award nomination.
Best Package Design Juno Award Shortlist
The River Pilots are a jazz instrumental quartet from Toronto, lead by Juno Award winner Todd Porter. “Delta” was their second studio album, for which Andy directed, designed and illustrated a 16 page graphic novel accompaniment to house the album. The Delta package was shortlisted for a Juno Award nomination in 2013 for “Best Package Design”.
One of Canada’s Top 10 Entrepreneurial Successes
As a director and producer for the small press publishing company AH Comics, Andy successfully raised over $130,000 in production capital in a 12 month period between 2014-2015, earning him the title “One of Canada’s Top 10 Entrepreneurial Successes” by the Globe & Mail.
